Feedback and Revisions
After receiving the feedback from our classmates, my group and I got some positive comments about our film. Some of the responses our classmates complimented us with was that our plot was well developed and easy to comprehend, we had a good variety of camera shots, we had good dialogue, and our classmates liked the location we filmed at. Our classmates also gave us negative feedback about The Neighbor. One of our constructive criticisms said that we need to revise Patty's costume to make her more creepy looking. To make Patty's costume creepier, our plan was to dress her in all black and place black make up underneath her eyes. Another one of our constructive criticisms said that we had to edit the clips better. We will fix this by cutting out the awkward beginning of the clips in our film when we are about to say our lines. Also, we had a constructive criticism about the beginning of our film when we were playing Payphone by Maroon 5. We had it playing in one scene and it awkwardly cut out in the jump cut when it was still supposed to be playing. To fix this, we will show Ally stopping the source music on her laptop before the jump cut and we will have to update our script to comply with this. The last constructive criticism we had was the soft sounding dialogue in the scene where Ally and Ashley woke up after Sarah went missing. To fix the sound of the dialogue, we will re-shoot this scene and film closer to the two girls so the microphone attached to the camera is closer and the sound of Ally and Ashley talking is louder in our final film.
