Project Selection-My Decision

I have chosen to do the film for my AICE Media Studies project. I enjoy how I can be very original with the film and express my interests in it. I obtain the skill of being very creative. This helps with writing the script and choosing outfits for the characters. I am also very decisive and have leadership skills. I will be working with Rachel and Lauren to produce our thriller. Rachel will be the protagonist, as she is the wealthy girl everyone wants to be. Lauren and Chelsea will be supporting actress', playing the role of Rachel's best friends. I will be the antagonist, being that I am a high school girl with low self-esteem that everyone teases. This will turn me into a crazy stalker, with me envying Rachel's popularity and perfect life, and eventually killing off everyone close to Rachel. My group is ready for the film project as Rachel is excellent at picking locations for the film, Lauren is great at filming shots, Chelsea is superior at directing the group, and I am...

Project Selection-Film

The other AICE Media Studies project, the film project, is a group assignment where your team produces a maximum two minute original film. During the first quarter of AICE Media Studies, we learned about journalism and film production. We watched a few different styles of film production, ranging from All the President's Men to Ferris Bueller's Day Off. All the President's Men is an example of more basic filmmaking.  Ferris Bueller's Day Off   was a new type of film in the mid 1980's since Matthew Broderick, the actor of Ferris Bueller, was talking to the audience which was a new concept at the time. I possess the skill of being very creative and I enjoy taking risks. I am also very passionate when it comes to creative writing and it is more entertaining to write than non-fiction. One struggle I might have with the film project is that I am not a very good at actor and I am camera-shy.

Project Selection-Magazine

One of the two options for the AICE Media Studies project, the magazine project, you have to design your own magazine. It must include a front page, table of contents, and double page spread. All of the images and content must be original and there must be at least four original photos on the magazine. After spending the first quarter learning about print journalism, I appreciate the profession and find that it is very interesting how journalists gather information before the average person can. I possess the skill of writing about subjects I am interested in, like fashion, and enjoy the art of literature. The magazine is an adequate choice for the AICE project since I am interested in magazines. It's also a good decision since I have a passion for writing and gathering information on a certain subject. In the magazine project, each person has to have their own individual project, even if they worked with a group. The magazine project lacks presenting one, whole project as a group ...
